Moscow is the sports capital of Russia. The city is home to sports complexes and other sports facilities of not only Russian but also global importance. The Russian capital offers extensive opportunities to do any kind of sport, or just for the sheer adrenalin of sports activities and hobbies.
Moscow has a large number of athletic clubs , and numerous auto- and bike clubs. It also has places such as an air club where people can make their dream of seeing the city from up in the sky come true. You can enjoy yourself in Moscow’s golf clubs , go to karting clubs , or become a participant in a “war” at paintball clubs . You can also use the services of multifunctional sports clubs, modern spacious swimming pools , or rollerdromes if you love roller-skating; skating rinks are always available for those who love ice-skating. The city also offers excellent tennis courts and shooting competitions in shooting galleries. Moscow reservoirs are available for yacht sailing, which can also be rented at yacht clubs.
Moscow hosts a mass of world—class sporting events throughout the year. Among the famous names are European Rugby Sevens Championship, Junior Canoe Sprint World Championship, Rugby World Cup; UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championship; Grand Moscow Regatta, 2009 FINA Swimming World Cup (25 m) and many others.
Besides sporting events in 2009 Moscow presented several wide scale exhibitions devoted to sport: VI International Exhibition “SportShow” , VI Moscow International Motorcycle Exhibition “Moto Park 2009” ; 5th Anniversary Exhibition-Festival “Fitness Moscow-2009” , VII Moscow International Fitness and Wellness Festival “MIOFF 2009” ; 17th Moscow International Exhibition Boat&Show Spring/MIBS 2009 .
If you would like to buy a ticket to a sport event you can do it in the booking office of a sport facility, through specialized web-sites and also through the official web-site of the Russia 2 (Russian TV Channel) by phone , through partner companies , or make the order online .
In order to book a ticket online you must register on the website, select the event, and press the button “Zakazat” (order). Then select the section and the seat, and then select the way how to receive the tickets (by courier, in the booking offices or by printing the blank of e-ticket). When you confirm your selections you’ll receive a confirmation letter which have to be printed and preserved.
You can make the payment in cash or by electronic payment .
